What Can I Expect From The Coursework?

How Long Will It Take To Attain My License?

The educational requirements for Texas Real Estate Salespersons changed on September 1, 2012. Applicants that apply for a salesperson license on or after September 1, 2012 are required to complete 180 credit hours (12 semester hours) of core education consisting of:

  • – 60 credit hours (4 semester hours) in Real Estate Principles
  • – 30 credit hours (2 semester hours) in Agency Law
  • – 30 credit hours (2 semester hours) in Contract Law
  • – 30 credit hours (2 semester hours) in Promulgated Contract Forms and
  • Addenda
  • – 30 credit hours (2 semester hours) in Real Estate Finance

What Do I Do If I’m Too Busy To Attend Classes?

No worries! Kaplan has designed its coursework with busy people in mind. There are several course options that are you can choose from designed specifically for a flexible, self-paced schedule. However, you will need to make time to take the Texas Real Estate Exam itself.
